About The Position

Nucor Rebar Fabrication is seeking a Regional Sales Manager. This role is responsible for account development with existing customers, new customer growth, market analysis, strategic planning/implementation, and other duties as assigned within the territory. The RSM will also be expected to provide leadership, participate in and promote an atmosphere of cooperation and teamwork. Safety is paramount in all roles at Nucor, and candidates must demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Requirements

  • Ability to drive and travel in their region/market as required.
  • Must maintain strict confidentiality regarding certain customer and management information.

Responsibilities

  • Prospecting for new business and providing industry-leading service.
  • Building relationships and rapport with customers.
  • Operating as a liaison between customers and Nucor Rebar Fabrication operations.
  • Establishing annual sales plans for the assigned region/market in collaboration with the Sales Manager and the DSM team.
  • Proactive and positive problem-solving to help the team achieve and exceed revenue, shipment, and profitability goals.
  • Demonstrating strong organizational skills with a proven ability to prioritize tasks and manage time in an unsupervised environment.
  • Proactively driving change within the organization and promoting continuous improvement.
  • Serving as the forward-facing representative of Nucor Rebar Fabrication with customers, strategic accounts, and large/high-profile projects.
  • Supervising DSMs, training new DSMs, and ensuring performance standards are met.
  • Providing leadership to achieve enterprise goals, including market-leading knowledge, value-based selling, and cultivating a culture of continuous improvement and growth.
  • Leading, developing, and coaching the DSMs, Inside Sales, and Estimating team.
  • Working with the Estimating Supervisor to manage and balance estimating resources across the region to support regional strategy and initiatives.
  • Collaborating with Inside Sales and Estimating to effectively complete tasks.
  • Participating in frequent collaborative meetings with other Regional Sales Managers & DSMs to drive high-level initiatives across the entire organization.
  • Driving and traveling in their region/market as required for extensive face-to-face customer interaction.
