About The Position

The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will be responsible for leading and managing sales activities in Tennessee. This role involves developing and implementing sales strategies, leading a sales team, building and maintaining customer relationships, and achieving sales targets specifically within the Reinforced Concrete Pipe (RCP) and Precast sectors. The RSM will work closely with the sales team, project management, engineering, production, and other departments to ensure alignment and success.

Requirements

  • Proven sales experience within the reinforced concrete pipe and precast industry
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a high-performing sales team
  • Strong understanding of sales performance metrics
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills
  • Ability to travel within the region as needed

Nice To Haves

  • In-depth knowledge of reinforced concrete pipe and precast products, including industry standards and specifications
  • Familiarity with the construction and infrastructure sectors
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base within Tennessee
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities within the RCP and Precast industry to identify opportunities and threats
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and manage a team of sales representatives
  • Set performance objectives and regularly monitor progress against goals
  • Foster a positive and high-performance sales culture
  • Provide technical support and product knowledge to customers and the sales team
  • Stay updated on industry standards, regulations, and advancements in RCP and Precast products
  • Track sales metrics and report data monthly to VP of Sales
  • Prepare regular sales forecasts and reports
  • Coordinate with engineering and production teams to ensure customer needs and market trends are communicated effectively
  • Collaborate with other regions to share best practices and strategies
  • Work with VP of Sales to develop and manage the regional sales budget
  • Optimize resources and manage expenses to ensure profitability
