About The Position

ASC Machine Tools, Inc. is seeking a Regional Sales Manager for the Southeastern U.S. Territory. The position is responsible for assisting the Company in reaching its sales targets through contact with customers and potential customers, explaining ASC products and services, and closing sales. The role requires completing all required documentation completely, accurately, and promptly. ASC Machine Tools, Inc. has been serving the metal-forming industry exclusively as a machinery engineering and manufacturing company for over 70 years, specializing in rollforming machinery, tooling, and associated equipment. The company is a vertically integrated machinery design and manufacturing company serving industries such as steel construction and the two-piece food and beverage can industry.

Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal communication and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and well with others.
  • Ability to develop and manage short-term and long-term plans to reach business goals and objectives.
  • Ability to negotiate contract conditions.
  • Must be able to stand, sit, and walk.
  • Must have use of hands, arms, eyes, ears, and voice.
  • Must be able to fly and drive to customer sites.
  • Must be able to read and understand contract documents, drawings, plans, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Able to respond to common inquiries and/or complaints from customers or potential customers.
  • Must know and understand terminology related to the metal manufacturing and job-shop environment.
  • Must be computer literate, and have a basic understanding of software such as MS Word and MS Excel.
  • Ability to concisely report travel expenses.

Nice To Haves

  • Related Bachelor’s Degree in Business or in Engineering or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Product knowledge of rollforming and coil handling equipment.
  • Sales experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Meet and beat sales quotas on a monthly basis.
  • Ensure delivery commitments to customers match Company policy and expectations.
  • Complete required specification work completely, accurately, and on time.
  • Maintain expenses within budget.
  • Complete administrative reporting accurately and on time.
  • Identify customer needs.
  • Achieve and maintain excellent product knowledge.
  • Present new and existing products to customers.
  • Give clients prompt information regarding production status, field service logistics, and warranty resolution.
  • Deliver all documentation and address customers' specific concerns or questions.
  • Act as a dedicated point of contact and liaison between internal departments and customers to gather accurate specifications and updates.
