About The Position

This is a field-based Regional Sales Manager position for Stryker's Trauma division, covering a territory that includes Indianapolis, Fort Wayne, and South Bend, Indiana. The ideal candidate must reside within this territory or in nearby areas like Chicago, IL, or Champaign, IL. The role involves leading, managing, and developing the Stryker Trauma Sales team to drive revenue and achieve market share objectives. The position requires analyzing market information, identifying new prospects, creating sales and marketing strategies, and managing budgets. Building strong relationships with local hospital staff, surgeons, and internal sales teams is crucial. The role also involves providing last-minute back-up support in operating rooms or for customer/account issues. Stryker is a leading medical technology company focused on improving healthcare through innovative products and services in Orthopaedics, Medical and Surgical, and Neurotechnology and Spine.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (business or medical discipline preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years demonstrated successful sales experience (in the medical device or industry preferred).
  • 2+ years of sales management experience and/or demonstrated ability to work with and lead others to accomplish sales goals.
  • Knowledge in the use of current office technologies (MS Office suite, databases, etc.).
  • Must live within the territory (Indianapolis, Fort Wayne, South Bend, Indiana) or as far North as Chicago, IL, as far west as Champaign, IL.
  • Must be able to obtain COVID-19 vaccination if required by customer requirements for sales and field roles.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage and develop the Stryker Trauma Sales team.
  • Drive revenue and develop the top sales team in the Orthopedic marketplace.
  • Analyze market information, identify and meet with new prospects.
  • Create sales plans and marketing strategies to exceed territory market share objectives.
  • Prepare, monitor and manage budgets and expenditures.
  • Provide recommendations on pricing schedules and discount rates.
  • Build ongoing partnerships with local hospital staff and surgeons.
  • Build internal relationships with teams of sales associates.
  • Provide last-minute back-up support in operating/emergency room consultations.
  • Assist with customer or account problems.
