About The Position

This role is a sales leadership position responsible for the DePuy Synthes portfolio, focusing on the Trauma product line in Eastern Tennessee and North Carolina. The Regional Manager will lead the overall management of sales strategies, activities, operations, and budgets to drive sales within their designated geographic area. The candidate will lead sales activities aimed at achieving customer and patient satisfaction while exceeding sales goals. The position involves implementing and executing selling strategies and strategic sales plans to meet DePuy Synthes Trauma sales objectives. The role requires a strong understanding of the changing healthcare market dynamics, industry trends, customer segmentation, and buying processes. The manager will lead a product portfolio, be responsible for sales, growth, and income targets, and manage business expenses responsibly. Building relationships with key surgeons, accounts, and associations to identify opportunities and drive collaboration for innovative solutions is crucial. The role also emphasizes active participation in the compliance program, upholding high standards of integrity, ethics, and compliance, and adhering to all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent in an applicable field such as Business, Marketing, or Finance.
  • At least 8 years of relevant business and/or leadership experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years of management experience, coaching, or mentoring others.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability, including the ability to lead through change.
  • Excellent listening, written & oral communication skills.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Ability to make impactful sales presentations with positive results.
  • Clinical and procedure excellence, product expertise and new product introduction experience.
  • Strong Customer Understanding, with the ability to use customer data and knowledge to drive the buying process.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop field sales talent.
  • Track record of success working within a complex organizational environment and enterprise mentality decision making.
  • Demonstrated leadership in business planning and project management.
  • Documented sales achievement(s).
  • Possess a valid driver's license issued in the United States.
  • Ability to travel related to this role is required (30% - 50%).
  • Must live in the current geography or be willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and carry out selling strategies and strategic sales plans to achieve overall DePuy Synthes Trauma sales goals and objectives.
  • Recruit, hire, and retain a diverse group of individuals within their region, ensuring all territories are filled with qualified sales professionals.
  • Provide ongoing performance management, mentorship, and career development for the sales team.
  • Drive business results by working closely with Consultants to set and achieve territory objectives, while driving patient care and customer satisfaction.
  • Assume a lead role in the territory for acquiring new accounts and surgeon relationships.
  • Assist consultants in penetrating existing accounts with new technologies.
  • Lead a portfolio of products, responsible for sales, growth, and income targets to improve gross profits, profitability, asset management, and budget management.
  • Handle business expenses in the Region with fiscal responsibility.
  • Establish relationships with key surgeons, key accounts, and associations to identify potential opportunities, and use resources to drive collaboration toward innovative solutions.
  • Diligently participate in compliance program-related activities, promoting and nurturing the highest standards of integrity, ethics, and compliance.
  • Follow all applicable laws and regulations relating to DePuy’s business activities and Policies and Procedures of the Health Care Compliance Program and Johnson and Johnson Business Code of Conduct.
