About The Position

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving profitable growth within their assigned territory through distributor development, new business acquisition, end-user prospecting, and market expansion. This field-based role serves as the primary representative of NPX ONE within the territory and is responsible for identifying and developing new distribution opportunities, creating pull-through demand with end users, supporting distributor partners, and executing competitive conversion strategies. The successful candidates will spend the majority of their time in the field building relationships, generating new opportunities, and expanding NPX ONE's market presence while delivering profitable growth against territory objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent sales/business development experience.
  • 2–5+ years of outside sales, business development, packaging, foodservice, manufacturing, or distribution sales experience.
  • Experience working through distribution channels preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in generating new business opportunities and growing customer relationships.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage business activities within the assigned territory to achieve sales, profitability, and growth objectives.
  • Drive profitable growth through distributor development, new business acquisition, competitive conversions, and expansion of NPX ONE's market presence.
  • Develop and execute territory growth plans designed to increase distribution penetration, expand market share, and drive profitable volume growth.
  • Identify, recruit, onboard, and develop new distribution partners within the assigned territory.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with distributor leadership, sales representatives, end users, and key decision-makers.
  • Conduct joint sales calls and ride-along with distributor sales representatives to identify opportunities and generate new business.
  • Create pull-through demand by working directly with end users and channel partners to generate opportunities for distributor partners.
  • Identify, develop, and execute competitive conversion opportunities to increase market share and territory volume.
  • Maintain and grow assigned accounts in accordance with company sales and profitability objectives.
  • Negotiate and maintain customer and distributor agreements as required.
  • Manage pricing, margins, profitability, and overall territory performance.
  • Utilize CRM systems to track customer activity, sales opportunities, pipeline development, territory performance, and forecast accuracy.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of customer needs, market trends, competitive activity, and industry developments within the territory.
  • Conduct product demonstrations, training programs, customer presentations, and educational sessions for distributors and end users.
  • Represent NPX ONE at trade shows, industry events, customer meetings, and other business development activities.
  • Assist in the development of sales forecasts, territory plans, business reviews, and strategic growth initiatives.
  • Address customer concerns and coordinate solutions with internal stakeholders, including customer service, operations, and manufacturing teams.
  • Maintain regular communication with management regarding territory activity, opportunities, challenges, and competitive intelligence.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
