Requirements

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent, engineering degree preferred
  • 5 to 7 years’ experience in the electrical industry
  • Experience managing both direct sales and manufacturers reps
  • Leadership and communication skills
  • Good problem solver
  • Travel required up to 50%
  • Ability to travel as needed, at times with limited notice, by air or car

Responsibilities

  • Maintain consistent, quality support to customers
  • Follow and develop new sales leads
  • Meet sales volume objectives
  • Coordinate technical support
  • Intervene in regard to customer service
  • Schedule sales calls
  • Assist customers and reps with training
  • Support product launches
  • Provide market information and sales forecasts to sales management
  • Ensure that sales administration responsibilities are completed in a timely and accurate manner
  • Attain annual sales budget/volume
  • Manage assigned sales personnel to achieve sales goals and volume
  • Develop and sustain accurate sales forecasts
  • Contribute to the development of annual sales strategy and action plans
  • Maintain/develop superior relations with customer base
  • Other assigned duties
