About The Position

We're partnering confidentially with a well-established Canadian infrastructure manufacturer seeking an experienced Regional Sales Manager to lead business development and sales growth across Alberta. This is more than a sales management role. You'll develop regional strategy, coach and lead a high-performing sales team, build relationships with key civil construction clients, and help grow market share across one of Canada's strongest infrastructure markets. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Proven experience leading sales teams within civil construction, infrastructure, steel products, engineered products, or related industries
  • Strong business development and strategic account management experience
  • Demonstrated success coaching and developing high-performing sales professionals
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Experience with CRM systems, forecasting, and sales analytics
  • Willingness to travel throughout Alberta

Nice To Haves

  • Background in structural steel, bridge products, civil infrastructure, engineered products, drainage, or heavy construction materials
  • Knowledge of consulting engineering firms, municipalities, contractors, and infrastructure procurement
  • Experience managing large infrastructure accounts and complex sales cycles

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to grow market share across Alberta
  • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop a high-performing regional sales team
  • Establish performance objectives and drive accountability through regular coaching and feedback
  • Foster a customer-focused, high-performance sales culture
  • Identify new business opportunities across civil construction, infrastructure, municipalities, consulting engineering firms, and contractors
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers
  • Lead complex sales negotiations and support major project pursuits
  • Develop long-term account strategies that drive sustainable revenue growth
  • Analyze market trends, competitive activity, and customer needs
  • Develop pricing strategies in collaboration with internal stakeholders
  • Represent the organization at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings
  • Strengthen the company's presence throughout the Alberta infrastructure market
  • Work closely with Engineering, Production, Logistics, Customer Service, and Marketing
  • Support successful project execution from quotation through delivery
  • Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports
  • Drive continuous improvement within regional sales operations
