About The Position

ISP is seeking a Regional Infrastructure Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain infrastructure components including networks, storage systems, and telecommunications platforms across regional sites. This role involves implementing infrastructure standards, supporting new system deployments and upgrades, and engineering scalable and secure solutions to support school operations and regional growth. The engineer will ensure the availability, resilience, and performance of critical infrastructure services, participate in incident response, and collaborate with vendors and regional IT teams. A key aspect of the role is implementing and maintaining infrastructure security controls and ensuring alignment with organizational policies and regulatory requirements. The position also involves participating in regional infrastructure projects, maintaining documentation, and contributing to the development of infrastructure standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure engineering or systems engineering roles.
  • Experience supporting infrastructure across multi-site or distributed environments.
  • Strong knowledge of network architecture, server infrastructure, and cloud services.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies and enterprise networking.
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices for infrastructure systems.
  • Experience supporting infrastructure deployments and upgrades.
  • Certifications such as Cisco (CCNA/CCNP), CompTIA Network+, VMware, or equivalent infrastructure certifications.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
  • Knowledge of network security, firewalls, and access control systems.
  • Familiarity with IT service management practices (ITIL or similar).
  • Experience with infrastructure monitoring and management tools.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with regional teams and technical vendors.
  • Flexibility to travel within the region when required.

Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and maintain infrastructure components including networks, storage systems, and telecommunications platforms.
  • Implement infrastructure standards across regional sites in alignment with central architecture and best practices.
  • Support the deployment of new infrastructure systems, upgrades, and technology refresh initiatives.
  • Engineer scalable and secure infrastructure solutions to support school operations and regional growth.
  • Ensure the availability, resilience, and performance of critical infrastructure services.
  • Support disaster recovery, redundancy, backup, and failover systems across regional infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with local facilities teams to ensure physical infrastructure (power, cooling, and connectivity) supports IT systems.
  • Participate in incident response and root cause analysis for infrastructure-related issues.
  • Work with vendors and service providers to support infrastructure deployments, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Assist in evaluating new technologies, hardware, and infrastructure solutions.
  • Collaborate with regional IT teams to ensure infrastructure services meet operational needs.
  • Implement and maintain infrastructure security controls including firewalls, network segmentation, and access management.
  • Ensure infrastructure aligns with organizational security policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Support vulnerability remediation and infrastructure security improvements.
  • Participate in regional infrastructure projects including network deployments, site upgrades, and cloud migrations.
  • Contribute to infrastructure design documentation, implementation planning, and technical validation.
  • Support the rollout of new schools or site expansions by deploying standardized infrastructure solutions.
  • Maintain accurate infrastructure documentation including network diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of infrastructure standards and operational practices.
  • Share technical knowledge and guidance with local IT teams to support consistent infrastructure management across the region.
