About The Position

A Regional Sales Manager plays a pivotal leadership role in advancing K–12 literacy and multisensory math initiatives across midsize-to-larger school districts within an assigned geography. This position carries direct responsibility for meeting and exceeding defined sales quotas and objectives while managing and developing a team of Regional Account Executives. Leveraging the company's strong brand recognition, the Regional Sales Manager and their team will expand 95 Percent Group's literacy and math curricula, diagnostic assessments, professional development, and instructional materials across districts and school sites. Working alongside school administrators and educators, the Regional Sales Manager will lead a consultative discovery process, guiding their team in proposing tailored solutions that directly address each district's reading and math goals. The Regional Sales Manager and their team will grow the Company's sales pipeline and drive revenue growth through a full range of business development activities, generating and following up on leads from the website, company events, and marketing campaigns; qualifying prospects; building the value of 95 Percent Group's products and services; and delivering compelling value propositions that differentiate the company's offerings. The role also encompasses deepening existing client relationships to secure renewals, drive expansion, and support full implementation of the company's solutions. Client support activities include attending conferences, participating in company events, and engaging in sales meetings. Success in this role requires a resilient, strategic mindset and the ability to balance hands-on team leadership with proactive business development. The ideal candidate brings consultative selling skills, a deep network of district-level contacts, and a genuine commitment to fostering long-term partnerships that advance literacy and math outcomes on a scale.

Requirements

  • Proven leadership and management success in K–12 sales with a track record of meeting or exceeding quota
  • At least 3 years of elementary teaching experience, particularly in grades K–3; experience as a reading/literacy or MTSS/RTI coach is a plus
  • Understanding of the Science of Reading, including familiarity with LETRS training or Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling
  • Familiarity with literacy instruction methodologies, reading intervention strategies, and science-based reading
  • Familiarity with multisensory math programs and a commitment to maximizing student potential
  • Extensive network of district and school contacts, including elementary principals, literacy coaches, curriculum staff, ELL, special education, and Title I personnel
  • Passion for advancing literacy and math achievement for all students
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills across all media and formats
  • Highly organized with strong planning, prioritization, and time management abilities
  • Energetic self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit, positive attitude, and strong work ethic
  • Proficient with technology including MS Office, CRM platforms, iPad, and webinar tools
  • Comfortable using AI and open to expanding AI literacy as more tools become available

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop Regional Account Executives to meet and exceed revenue and territory objectives through coaching, modeling 1:1, and ongoing selling skills development.
  • Serve as an invested member of the Sales Department Management team, embodying a servant-leader mindset focused on continuous team growth.
  • Model sales excellence by providing strategic collaboration, guiding pipeline accuracy, and coaching the team through the full Sales Process.
  • Support Regional Account Executives in effectively executing annual Territory Plans and other strategic initiatives.
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and drive cross-departmental collaboration, including Sales Support, Implementation Management, and Professional Development to better meet client needs.
  • Set annual team and individual goals, conduct performance reviews, and develop improvement plans as needed.
  • Manage staff PTO approvals with consideration for client demand.
  • Plan and oversee ongoing professional development for Regional Account Executives, measuring knowledge acquisition and reporting progress in collaboration with the Chief Revenue Officer.
  • Identify and develop Anchor accounts in partnership with Implementation and Client Management, set clear goals for implementation fidelity, conduct quarterly reviews, and coordinating with Consulting Client Managers overseeing professional development for literacy and math initiatives.
  • Meet regularly with current clients to assess implementation strengths and challenges, identifying additional products or professional development needed to advance their literacy and math goals.
  • Prospect new clients in a geographic Ripple pattern from Anchor accounts, leveraging reference selling strategies and facilitating discovery processes to uncover district or school needs, including student deficit areas in phonological awareness, phonics, comprehension, vocabulary, and math.
  • Qualify prospective clients daily and through high-engagement events such as webinars, conferences, and company-sponsored events; represent 95 Percent Group with a high level of professionalism.
  • Selling products and services via phone, email, webinar, and site visits; support Regional Account Executives in crafting compelling proposals aligned to literacy and math initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records in Salesforce, including site visit notes, pipeline development, forecasting, and prospect follow-up; leverage additional tools such as HubSpot and Clearslide for effective communication.
  • Develop a Territory Plan for the assigned region incorporating state literacy and math initiative strategies, historical sales analysis, website visitor data, and target district identification for expansion and new business.
  • Staff regional conferences and literacy or math showcases, deliver presentations and represent the company at booth or table events.
  • Submit travel expenses accurately and on time through the company's expense reporting system.
  • Develop sales skills as well as sales team compliance with prospecting, forecasting, pipeline and opportunity development protocol.
  • Meet or exceed annual sales quota, consistently delivering revenue at or above target.
  • Support current clients in achieving their literacy and math goals, acting as a Trusted Advisor to drive expansion within existing implementations.
  • Respond to client inquiries promptly and professionally, providing quotes and proposals in a timely manner.
  • Play a key role in developing and protecting our sales culture
