About The Position

The Region Manager is responsible for effectively managing their assigned region while overseeing and directing the activities of Retail Sales Associates. This role collaborates closely with Business Development Managers, other Sales Operations leaders, Store Managers, and various retail personnel to ensure retail business objectives are met. The Region Manager will supervise approximately 10 Retail Sales Associates spread across the Midwest.

Requirements

  • Ability to provide effective training and development for team members.
  • Ability to schedule regular work-withs in the field.

  • Ability to facilitate communication through team calls and 1:1s.
  • Ability to address performance concerns with clear expectations, coaching, and accountability.
  • Ability to manage the region efficiently and effectively through territory routing and sizing.
  • Ability to review store classifications and make necessary changes.
  • Ability to build and strengthen relationships with internal partners.
  • Ability to manage budget for the assigned region.
  • Ability to ensure accurate and timely completion of paperwork and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a business expert within the assigned region, understanding regional performance and its drivers.
  • Align with BDMs on key priorities to guide the team.
  • Identify key challenges occurring in the field and serve as a liaison for the region with Corporate Sales Operations and Retail Sales leadership.
  • Establish priorities, performance expectations, and KPI metrics for team members to drive excellence and business results.
  • Ensure execution and support of account initiatives and deploy team resources to focus on key priorities.
  • Provide effective training and development for team members.
  • Schedule regular work-withs in the field with team members to observe, coach, and provide on-the-spot feedback.
  • Facilitate communication with team members through regularly scheduled team calls and individual 1:1s.
  • Address performance-related concerns with team members by setting clear expectations, providing additional coaching, and holding them accountable.
  • Manage the assigned region efficiently and effectively through territory routing and sizing.
  • Regularly review store classifications and make necessary changes to ensure call frequency and time spent align with stores where the greatest impact can be made.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with BDMs, Sales leadership, and other internal cross-functional partners to facilitate information sharing, ensure alignment, and effective execution of key priorities and initiatives.
  • Effectively manage the budget for the assigned region, including travel, overtime, promotional expenditures, placement spending, damage, POS, etc., with the goal of coming in under budget.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of paperwork and reporting, including recaps, time approval, and expense reports for self and team members.
