About The Position

The Region Manager is responsible for effectively managing their assigned region while overseeing and directing the activities of Retail Sales Associates. This person works closely with Business Development Managers, other Sales Operations leaders, Store Managers, and various retail personnel to ensure retail business objectives are met. The Region Manager will supervise approximately 10 Retail Sales Associates, spread out across the Midwest.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 4-6 years of Retail Sales experience.
  • Must live in the region.
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle a fast-paced work environment.
  • Basic computer skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong ability to supervise, including delegating responsibility, training, and evaluating performance.
  • Flexible and adaptable, able to change and alter according to changes in projects or business environment.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize duties with minimal supervision to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to complete multiple duties with accuracy, shifting from one to another with frequent interruptions and competing deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Being a business expert within the assigned region, understanding its performance and drivers.
  • Aligning with BDMs on key priorities to guide the team.
  • Identifying key challenges in the field and acting as a liaison for the region with Corporate Sales Operations and Retail Sales leadership.
  • Establishing priorities, performance expectations, and KPI metrics for team members.
  • Ensuring execution and support of account initiatives and deploying team resources effectively.
  • Providing training and development for team members.
  • Scheduling regular field work-withs for observation, coaching, and on-the-spot feedback.
  • Facilitating communication through team calls and individual 1:1s.
  • Addressing performance concerns with clear expectations, coaching, and accountability.
  • Managing the assigned region efficiently through territory routing and sizing.
  • Reviewing store classifications to ensure call frequency and time align with impact.
  • Building and strengthening relationships with BDMs, Sales leadership, and cross-functional partners.
  • Managing the region's budget, including travel, overtime, promotional expenditures, placement spending, damage, POS, etc., with the goal of staying under budget.
  • Ensuring accurate and timely completion of paperwork and reporting for self and team members.
