About The Position

At Reading Horizons, we're on a mission to eradicate illiteracy by equipping educators with evidence-based literacy solutions that improve student outcomes. We're seeking an experienced Regional Sales Director to lead our West region, with a strategic focus on California. This position reports to the Senior VP, Sales. This role is responsible for achieving regional sales goals by leading and developing a team of Account Executives while personally driving the region's largest strategic opportunities. The Regional Sales Director will elevate team performance, develop new business, expand strategic customer relationships, and position Reading Horizons as the trusted literacy partner for schools and districts across California, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Idaho, Oregon, Washington, Alaska, Hawaii, and Wyoming. This is a unique opportunity to help shape one of our most important growth regions while improving literacy outcomes for students across the West.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, coach, and empower a high-performing team of Account Executives.
  • Create clarity, alignment, and accountability by setting clear expectations, coaching performance, and removing barriers to success.
  • Lead pipeline reviews, forecasting, deal strategy, and performance conversations that accelerate growth.
  • Foster a collaborative, customer-focused, high-performance sales culture.
  • Achieve regional bookings, pipeline, and revenue goals through both team performance and personal sales contributions.
  • Personally lead the region's largest and most strategic sales opportunities.
  • Develop and execute regional growth strategies that increase market share, accelerate the pipeline, and expand strategic customer relationships.
  • Establish trusted relationships with district leaders, County Offices of Education, state organizations, and strategic partners.
  • Navigate complex district purchasing processes and California curriculum adoption cycles.
  • Partner with Marketing, Product, Implementation, and Sales Enablement to deliver an exceptional customer experience from first conversation through implementation and long-term partnership.
