About The Position

Arthrex, Inc. is a global medical device company and a leader in product development and medical education in orthopedics. The company is actively searching for a Regional Sales Director for the Northwest region to manage and lead key strategic initiatives across all product lines within the Arthrex Orthopedic portfolio. This role involves building relationships with key customers and internal departments, managing multiple agency partners to drive new product innovation, and overseeing existing product lines. The Director will also work to enhance business through contract negotiation, collaborating with the national contracts team. The main objective is to ensure maximized revenue growth of assigned company products and services through direct and indirect management of an independent sales force and dotted line management of various Regional Managers (Sports Medicine, Foot Ankle & Trauma, Biologics, Arthroplasty, and Imaging and Resection) within the defined geographic area. The position requires establishing proper and effective communications with appropriate staff across the company to ensure sensitivity to sales needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years of sales or sales management experience in Arthroscopy and/or Sports Medicine and/or Orthopedics OR a minimum of 3 years of direct Arthrex regional sales management experience OR a minimum of 3 years with an Arthrex Agency.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, analytic, and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of company’s products, pricing practices, and selling skills.
  • Effective management skills with ability to manage the company’s sales operations.
  • Effective time management, communications, decision making, presentation, and organization skills.
  • Excellent writing, editing, communications, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage an assigned group of agencies and related geography to maximize product sales revenues and meet corporate objectives.
  • Assist in formulating and distributing regional quotas to agencies.
  • Develop and monitor specific plans and company strategy to ensure revenue growth in all company products and product categories.
  • Direct and support account management activities.
  • Establish relationships with key accounts and customers, both surgeon and administrators.
  • Attend and support local, regional, and national medical education meetings, trade shows, and other educational opportunities.
  • Manage and develop independent agency sales teams, including personnel activities such as hiring, training, coaching, appraising, rewarding, motivating, disciplining, and recommending termination as necessary.
  • Educate sales teams in terms of product education and sales tactics and training.
  • Ensure corporate initiatives are carried out to agency owners and salespeople.
  • Establish and manage effective programs and training to address new and existing account sales and growth to base through sales force.
  • Establish and manage effective programs and training to address sales of new and existing highlight products and multi-product sales.
  • Establish and manage effective programs and training to address pro-active competitive strategies and targeted sales campaigns.
  • Establish and manage effective programs and training to address proper use and level of sales support.
  • Establish and manage effective programs and training to address management of expenses of the area to a reasonable level.
  • Establish and manage effective programs and training to address business/financial issues on contracts.
  • Perform sales activities on key accounts and negotiate pricing and contracts through the Senior Director of Sales where necessary.
  • Work closely with Sports, Extremity & Trauma, Orthobiologics, Arthroplasty and Imaging & Resection Regional Managers to ensure proper focus and effort is being given to regional agencies and customers to effectively meet sales expectations.
  • Ensure compliance across areas of responsibility and support the organization's compliance objectives.
  • Travel up to 75%.
