About The Position

Videndum is an international group serving customers in the 'image capture and content creation' market, manufacturing and distributing technically advanced products. The Director of Sales is responsible for growing Videndum Production Imaging revenue through acquisition of new accounts and current end-user customers in Broadcast and Media Production, and new B2B growth markets. This role is ideal for someone with experience in the broadcast and media production market or relevant B2B experience looking to transition into this industry. The role involves working with industry-leading brands and contributing to the company's legacy in broadcast television and media production. Existing relationships are advantageous, but the ability to network at a senior level is more important. The Director of Sales will identify strategic growth opportunities, provide insights on market trends, and develop strong internal and external relationships to expand Videndum's customer base. This position combines sales leadership, product knowledge, and operational skills to achieve sales revenue and profit targets within the defined territory. The ideal candidate is strategic, data-driven, comfortable with technical discussions with customers, self-motivated, and willing to learn. The role is home-office based with 50% customer-facing time in the region, with occasional trips to regional offices. Being located near major broadcast and media production hubs is an advantage.

Requirements

  • B2B sales management experience.
  • Proficient with MS Office and customer relationship management systems such as Salesforce.
  • Fluent in English and used to working comfortably in an English-speaking organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, deliver, and direct the sales plan, aligned with product management, marketing, and technical support for the Videndum portfolio of products and services.
  • Manage the sales team to drive business growth across all customer segments and share responsibility with the technical support team for improving strategy and customer experience.
  • Lead and mentor the sales teams to grow their abilities by providing guidance, advice, feedback, and support.
  • Perform detailed evaluation of customer business environment, including customer needs, capabilities, and competitive realities to identify unique business opportunities.
  • Drive new strategic customer acquisition initiatives, working with technical support and product management, to improve customer acquisition and retention in the broadcast, media production, and new markets.
  • Maintain and expand relationships with strategically important customers at a senior level.
  • Assist the sales team to create and deliver proposals to key stakeholders, influencers, and customers to position the Videndum value proposition.
  • Engage in the consultative selling of the Videndum portfolio offering that contribute to the growth and profitability of the business.
  • Ensuring the region operates with the Videndum Mindset, Code of Conduct, DOA and Governance as well as Company and regional laws.
  • Be responsible for the Health and Safety of employees, suppliers, visitors in the region and in line with Videndum policies.
  • Develop the sales of Videndum products with a focus on broadcast, associated segments and new B2B segments as required.
  • Implement the sales strategy in the defined customer base/territory.
  • Oversee the day-to-day work of the incumbents’ direct reports.
  • Ensure that the sales team are creating and regularly updating sales opportunities using the tools and customer relationship management provided by the company for this purpose.
  • Provide accurate timelines and forecasts on pipeline and sales activities to achieve financial targets.
  • Coordinate the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, to meet strategic account performance objectives and customers’ expectations.
  • Supporting Senior Leadership Team in defining the strategic midrange (1-2 years) performance outlook.
  • Regular, pro-active personal communication with key stakeholders within the defined customer base/territory.
  • Regular prospecting for Videndum sales opportunities within the defined customer base and/or territory.
  • Providing voice-of-customer to the organisation in an organised manner, primarily through active participation in the scheduled product roadmap planning and product development gate-review process.
  • Participation in trade shows, client conferences, and other appropriate events.
  • Understanding of and ability to access Videndum systems and resources to progress the go-to-market process.
  • Participation in and provision of voice-of-customer feedback, as requested, to sales readiness in the gate-review process for Videndum products applicable to the defined customer base/territory.
  • Provide product management with market requirements and opportunities.
  • Joining and contributing to appropriate professional bodies, organisations, and events to ensure that Videndum products and services are represented in a professional manner.
