About The Position

Lumens is a leader in luxury home furnishings, lighting, and décor, serving residential, trade, and contract design professionals across North America. We are seeking a Regional Sales Consultant to cultivate client relationships, drive sales growth, and support project-based business within a fast-paced, design-focused sales environment. This role blends consultative selling, relationship management, and proactive business development. As a Regional Sales Consultant, you will engage directly with interior designers, architects, contractors, developers, and high-value residential clients to support projects ranging from single-room installations to large-scale residential and commercial builds. You will manage inbound opportunities while also proactively identifying and developing new business through outreach, CRM insights, market activity, and project-based sales opportunities. Success in this role requires strong communication, responsiveness, organization, and the ability to guide clients through both transactional purchases and multi-phase project sales with confidence and professionalism. Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in consultative sales, trade sales, luxury retail, showroom sales, account management, or design-focused client services.
  • Proven ability to build relationships, manage pipelines, and drive sales growth.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional, client-facing presence.
  • Experience using CRM platforms such as HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar pipeline management tools.
  • Ability to manage both fast-moving transactional business and longer-term project opportunities.

  • Experience supporting interior designers, architects, contractors, developers, or project-based clients preferred.
  • Interest in luxury furnishings, lighting, interiors, or architecture preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage relationships with interior designers, architects, contractors, developers, and high-value residential clients.
  • Guide clients through the full sales process, including discovery, product recommendations, quoting, sourcing, follow-up, and order management.
  • Support both transactional and project-based sales opportunities across lighting, furniture, and décor categories.
  • Conduct business and project needs assessments to understand client goals, timelines, specifications, and purchasing requirements.
  • Deliver responsive, consultative support that builds long-term trust and repeat business.
  • Collaborate with clients on product solutions, lead times, logistics, and sourcing strategies to support successful project execution.
  • Maintain a proactive pipeline of opportunities and consistently follow through on open quotes, active projects, and relationship-building efforts.
  • Coordinate proactively with Customer Operations and fulfillment teams to ensure a seamless client experience from initial engagement through final delivery.
  • Engage inbound opportunities generated through Lumens.com, phone, email, chat, and other customer touchpoints.
  • Initiate outbound outreach to prospective and existing clients through calls, email campaigns, CRM workflows, and market-based sales triggers.
  • Utilize CRM tools and customer insights to identify opportunities including abandoned carts, dormant accounts, repeat purchasing behavior, and active project activity.
  • Reactivate past customers and nurture developing relationships to generate incremental sales growth.
  • Partner closely with regional teammates to support shared sales goals and client success initiatives.
  • Maintain organized and accurate pipeline activity using CRM platforms and sales management tools.
  • Track customer interactions, project status, follow-up activity, and sales performance metrics.
  • Prioritize opportunities strategically across transactional business and long-term project development.
  • Coordinate with internal teams including Customer Operations, Fulfillment, Finance, and Product teams to support seamless client experiences.
  • Contribute feedback and insights that improve sales processes, customer experience, and team performance.
