About The Position

The successful regional sales administrator will assist the sales team in their selling goals, will personally contribute to the unforgettable guest experience, will be favorably viewed by supervisors and peers, and will be swift and efficient in the execution of their assigned duties. Performance will be measured by sales achievement, management evaluation, and feedback from peers on the city’s team. The Regional Sales Administrator will support the Regional Director of Sales and the Regional Account Managers by assisting with any of the administrative or technical tasks they encounter, thereby keeping the team focused on selling. Partner with the Regional Director of Sales to offer additional training and oversight that can be used to improve account manager performance. Assist in the implementation & execution of the city sales strategy and tactics to ensure sales goals are achieved.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of total sales experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in a discipline related to the work of the position OR equivalent work experience.
  • Hospitality/Food and Beverage experience
  • Successfully supported a sale team.
  • Keep well informed on city’s business priorities and objectives/goals and ensure that all city sales efforts support achieving them.
  • Communicate effectively in oral and written form.
  • Maintain a high level of organization.
  • Analyze and solve problems.
  • Listen effectively, assess the situation, determine relevant issues, identify solutions, and gain consensus.
  • Work with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat) and sales management software.
  • Translate sales analyses & research into sales actions.

Responsibilities

  • Focuses on helping all account managers and event coordinators fully understand Anchor and its relationship to Salesforce to help drive sales.
  • Liaison between the Anchor team and the sales team to trouble shoots errors and glitches when building orders and transferring money.
  • Assists in the integration plan for each new hire or promotion by consistently updating the regional product training deck in the shared drive. Specifically teaching the team about the multiple vessels, docks, capacities, and abilities of the regional fleet.
  • Oversight of the COS spreadsheet ensuring that we are accurately up-charging outside services, tracking monthly, accruing monthly in the financials, and ensuring that all invoicing is received prior to year-end.
  • Running and preparing the Two-Week Meeting for all ports in the region. Ensuring that all missing information is entered into the system in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for training Public Cruise Manager and Event Team members in the process.
  • Develops positive working relationships with other department heads and peers.
  • Attends and supports Account Managers at networking and professional association events.
  • Helps Account Managers resolve customer issues.
  • Assists in the development of the city Sales and Marketing Plan focused on the Individual dining, excursion, and sightseeing guests. Plan includes detailed review of cruises open on the web to ensure availability for Indy guests. In addition, reviewing monthly sightseeing and taxi seasonal changes to ensure a cohesive schedule.
  • Maintains a weekly Revenue tracker to assist the Regional Director of Sales in keeping Sales Manager’s on track with their quarterly revenue targets.
  • Web site review – consistently reviews the web site to identify cruise and or cruise time discrepancies to alert the Regional Director of Marketing to resolve.
  • Ensures specialty cruises are linked to signature and premier offerings on the web site.
  • Trains account managers on the Water Taxi product and ensures accuracy in the on-line posted schedule by updating the schedule in Anchor monthly.
  • Verifies the accuracy of guest counts by utilizing scan reports and comparing tickets sold to tickets scanned.
  • Supports Regional Director of Sales by manipulating Salesforce reports to track equitable RFP lead distribution along with other revenue reports.
  • Edits PDFs for Sales Managers to use in their outreach to clients.
  • Works with Regional Director of Sales to develop budgets and sales goals according to company guidelines.
  • Assists with the monthly Sales Forecast to report revenue and cruise counts to the General Manager and Regional Director of Sales.
  • Responsible for information requests and leading distribution to the regional sales team.
  • Develops comprehensive knowledge of Anchor reservation system application.
  • Maintains integrity of the reservation system, including proper recording of sales activities and order information.
  • Works with Regional Director of Sales and City Directors to develop city’s cruise management plan – identifying cruises to open or to close due to low Pax counts.
  • Owns customer interactions when cruises need to be closed – email/text messages with guests through Anchor.
  • Works with HQ and Regional Director of Sales on projects as necessary.
