Requirements

Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of the Department of Transportation, Occupational Safety and Health Administration, and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act regulations.
Ability to travel as needed.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in business, risk management, or a related field.
5+ years of safety experience.
Certified Safety Professional certification.

Responsibilities

Manages and oversees safety compliance, training, accident reporting, and investigations for an assigned region.
Tracks and manages the completion of safety compliance training.
Collaborates with cross-functional teams to prevent workplace injuries.
Oversees the formation and development of safety committees in the terminals.
Coaches and trains employees in safety procedures.
Audits facilities to validate if corrections, return inspections, and repairs are completed.
Directs and implements processes and procedures to eliminate workplace injuries.
Manages the direction regarding the proper handling and management of accidents and hazardous material incidents.
Identifies accidents as preventable or nonpreventable.
