About The Position

TCI Transportation is looking for a Regional Safety Manager to become a trusted partner to operations, a mentor to drivers and managers, and a champion for safety across multiple locations. This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who knows DOT and FMCSA regulations inside and out—and enjoys turning compliance into a competitive advantage.

Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of FMCSA, DOT, OSHA, EPA, and PHMSA regulations
• Experience leading safety investigations and compliance initiatives
• Confidence delivering training and coaching leaders
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and relationship-building abilities
• The ability to influence others through leadership—not authority
• A passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence

Responsibilities

• Lead engaging onboarding and ongoing safety training
• Investigate accidents and injuries while identifying root causes
• Conduct DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, EPA, Hazmat, and Hours-of-Service compliance audits
• Oversee Driver Qualification (DQ) file compliance
• Coach Driver Managers, Regional Managers, technicians, and drivers
• Perform facility inspections and identify operational risks
• Monitor safety scorecards, trends, and performance metrics
• Conduct ride-alongs and field coaching with drivers
• Partner with leadership to improve safety performance across every operation
• Travel approximately 30–40% throughout your assigned region to support our teams where they need you most.
