We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Regional Safety Manager to oversee and advance our safety program across the United States. The Regional Safety Manager plays a critical leadership role in developing and enforcing company-wide health and safety policies, supporting regional operations teams, mentoring Safety Officers, and driving continuous improvement through data, audits, and compliance initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of OH&S experience in construction, highway, utilities, or traffic control.
  • At least 3 years of leadership or managerial experience in a multi-site or national capacity.
  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA, MUTCD, DOT, and EPA standards.
  • Strong communication, team leadership, and field coaching abilities.
  • Skilled in using Microsoft Office 365 and safety data platforms.
  • Ability to travel regularly and work in outdoor environments and active work zones.
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and support a team of Safety Officer and field safety personnel.
  • Conduct nationwide audits, field inspections, and incident investigations to ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, EPA, and MUTCD standards.
  • Develop and implement health and safety policies, training programs, SOPs, and corrective action processes.
  • Conduct field visits, risk assessments, and planned/unplanned safety observations.
  • Work closely with operations leadership to build and maintain a strong, proactive safety culture.
  • Manage incident response, including root cause analysis, injury follow-up, and return-to-work coordination.
  • Serve as the company’s safety representative in external regulatory and client-facing meetings.
  • Support operational readiness for new regions and high-priority projects with safety startup plans.
  • Travel up to 60% of the time, including extended visits to West Coast regions one week per month.
