About The Position

Clemens Food Group is seeking a Regional Retail Sales Manager – Northeast to drive growth across our retail portfolio. In this role, you will own and execute sales strategies that expand distribution, strengthen customer relationships, and increase market share across East Coast retailers. You will leverage data-driven insights, industry expertise, and strong partnerships to deliver results in a highly competitive protein category while operating with a high degree of autonomy.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience selling into retail, preferably within meat/protein
  • Experience working with corporate retail buyers at the headquarters level
  • Proven ability to independently manage and grow a sales territory
  • Strong understanding of the retail meat industry and category dynamics
  • Proficiency in fact-based selling using syndicated data (Circana, Nielsen)
  • Excellent communication, relationship management, and negotiation skills
  • Strong analytical and organizational abilities

Responsibilities

  • Increase distribution and optimize assortment of Clemens Food Group’s retail portfolio
  • Develop new business and grow existing retail accounts across the Northeast
  • Build and maintain relationships with key retail buyers and decision-makers
  • Sell a full line of fresh and value-added pork products
  • Develop and deliver sales presentations and business proposals
  • Manage broker relationships and provide product and sales training
  • Utilize syndicated data (Circana, Nielsen) to identify opportunities and drive strategy
  • Execute promotional plans and evaluate performance to improve ROI
  • Identify competitive threats and category opportunities
  • Collaborate cross-functionally on forecasting, budgeting, private label development and sales planning
  • Maintain CRM records of customer interactions, opportunities, and activities
