About The Position

The Regional Retail Manager is responsible for driving the performance, execution, and operational consistency of all retail stores within an assigned geographic region. This role serves as a critical leadership layer between Store Managers and the VP of Retail Sales, ensuring accountability, alignment, and execution of company strategy at the store level. The Regional Retail Manager owns the aggregate performance of their region, including sales, profitability, operational standards, and KPI achievement. This role develops, coaches, and holds Store Managers accountable while ensuring consistent execution of sales processes, inventory accuracy, marketing initiatives, and customer experience standards.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required
3+ years of multi-store retail management experience (appliance industry preferred)
Demonstrated success leading teams and driving multi-unit performance
Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret sales data and KPIs
Excellent leadership, communication, and coaching abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities across a geographically dispersed region

Responsibilities

Own and drive total regional performance across all assigned stores, including sales, margin, KPIs, and operational metrics.
Serve as the direct manager for Store Managers, providing leadership, coaching, and performance accountability.
Establish clear expectations and performance standards for stores and ensure consistent execution.
Lead regular performance reviews with Store Managers and implement corrective actions where needed.
Develop and be accountable for store level and regional annual business plans.
Establish, communicate, and monitor regional sales goals, quotas, and performance targets.
Analyze sales data, market trends, and store-level performance to identify opportunities and risks.
Lead structured weekly KPI reviews (e.g., Monday reporting cadence) and communicate performance insights.
Ensure consistent execution of sales processes, including financing, protection plans (e.g., AllState), and promotional programs.
Conduct regular in-store visits to evaluate performance, reinforce standards, and coach teams.
Ensure execution of merchandising, promotions, and product transitions across all stores.
Monitor and support open order management and operational efficiency.
Partner with Store Managers to improve store-level execution and customer experience.
Oversee inventory accuracy through a structured audit (“check and recheck”) process, validating store-reported counts rather than managing daily inventory execution.
Ensure Store Managers follow established inventory processes and maintain high accuracy standards (targeting 99%+ accuracy).
Identify discrepancies, enforce accountability, and drive corrective actions where needed.
Coach and develop Store Managers to improve leadership capability, sales performance, and operational execution.
Lead consistent communication routines, including weekly regional meetings and monthly store visits.
Reinforce company initiatives, training, and cultural expectations across all stores.
Facilitate knowledge sharing and best practices across the region.
Guide Store Managers in executing local marketing, grassroots efforts, and promotional strategies.
Ensure alignment with corporate campaigns while optimizing for local market conditions.
Partner with Operations, Marketing, and other departments to address store needs and improve execution.
Provide field feedback to leadership on market conditions, product issues, and process improvements.
