About The Position

The Regional Regulatory Compliance Lead - Americas supports the Global Regulatory Compliance Managers for both CAE SimuFlite and CAE SimCom in maintaining compliance with FAA Part 142 requirements and related Air Agency Certificates. This role helps safeguard regulatory approvals and supports compliance across assigned areas of responsibility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • Training and operational experience within an aviation-related environment acceptable to applicable regulatory authorities.
  • Previous experience as an instructor, preferably within a Part 142 or Approved Training Organization (ATO) environment.
  • Knowledge of aviation regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrated conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with internal and external stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated adaptability and ability to respond effectively to changing business and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint.

Nice To Haves

  • Holds or previously held an Air Transport Pilot License (ATPL) or equivalent experience.
  • Examiner experience within a training environment.
  • Prior experience working with aviation regulatory authorities, including EASA, FAA, GCAA, GACA, CAAC, or equivalent organizations.
  • Experience serving in a pilot-in-command, training delivery, training management, or regulatory compliance capacity.
  • Experience using Salesforce, Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, Gemini, and other business applications.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary regulatory compliance contact for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and other applicable National Aviation Authorities (NAAs).
  • Provide regulatory guidance to Flight Operations, Sales, Courseware, and other departments, consulting with the applicable Global Regulatory Compliance Manager as needed.
  • Ensure the regulatory compliance of training records systems within assigned areas of responsibility and implement changes required to maintain compliance.
  • Lead investigations into potential compliance violations and implement corrective actions as required to restore and maintain regulatory compliance.
  • Support regulatory compliance activities related to FAA and other NAA audits, evaluations, approvals, and inspections.
  • Assist with ensuring compliance with regulations established by other regional and national aviation authorities, when required.
  • Provide regulatory training and guidance to management, instructors, and staff at training centers within assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Advise and support local Training Center leadership on regulatory compliance matters.
  • Coordinate with Regulatory Compliance Leads and other regulatory personnel to promote consistent compliance practices across CAE’s global training network.
  • Maintain an objective and independent regulatory compliance perspective in support of organizational requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Global Regulatory Compliance Managers.
