About The Position

Emerson has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager (PM) or Project Engineering professional. Based in our Southeast Regional Office in Charlotte, NC, you will manage regional projects to ensure the customer and company goals are realized. The PM will work closely with our proposal and sales team to implement perfect execution principles through the entire customer experience. Additionally, the PM will provide on-site support for installation and start up teams.

Requirements

  • B.S degree in engineering discipline
  • Must have related experience in Project Management of custom engineered products or services.
  • 5+ years’ related experience in service, project management or project engineering.
  • History of progressively responsible engineering or leadership roles in a industrial services company.
  • Willing and able to travel up to 30%
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future

Nice To Haves

  • Current certification in project management highly desired
  • Ovation Control System exposure preferred or other Distributed Control System (DCS)

Responsibilities

  • Oversee engineers executing regional projects and provide the specific project management and engineering support based on the specific customer needs.
  • Primary lead for all aspects of the project including kick off meetings, overseeing BOM and network design generation & release, maintaining project documentation & assisting in financial forecasting with both management and the customer.
  • Resolve customer issues such as technical, contractual and warranty situation by balancing financial and customer satisfactions goals.
  • Plan and implement project startup schedules for systems with your engineering group and customers with sliding customer schedules and conflicting manpower demands from multiple projects and emergency service requirements.
  • Work closely with the Aftermarket Sales Team in the region to identify potential projects and develop work scopes for regional projects.
