About The Position

Gerdau is seeking a Regional Procurement Manager to lead procurement strategy and operations at its Midlothian, Texas mill. The role focuses on cost savings, supplier performance, operational excellence, and team development, partnering with operations, finance, engineering, and executive leadership to optimize total cost of ownership and support business growth.

The manager leads SPOT procurement operations for indirect materials, services, and commodities; develops strategic sourcing initiatives and supplier partnerships; and drives cost reduction, working capital improvement, and supply continuity. The role also oversees contracts, supplier performance, quality, and risk mitigation, and leads a team of six. Travel is 10–20%.

Requirements

• Four-year degree in Business, Engineering, or Economics.
• At least five years of procurement or supply chain experience in manufacturing.
• At least two years of supervisory experience.
• Expertise in sourcing, negotiations, supplier management, and category strategies.
• Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
• ERP experience; SAP is preferred.
• Ability to lead negotiations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice To Haves

• CPSM, CPM, or related certification.
