The Magnum Ice Cream Company is seeking a Regional Privacy Officer for the Americas to support the Chief Privacy Officer in developing and maintaining a global data privacy compliance program. This role serves as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for data privacy within the region. Requirements

  • Good understanding of privacy, AI and cyber security laws, standards and associated compliance requirements in the region.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and work independently whilst collaborating with various stakeholders and teams across functions and geographies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical legal/privacy issues in simple terms.
  • Strong sense of personal accountability and reliability with the ability to take the initiative and be proactive.
  • Minimum of 4 Years + demonstrable experience working at regional level within a multinational environment as a privacy officer or in a comparable role.

Nice To Haves

  • IAPP or similar recognised privacy accreditations preferred.
  • Experience of using privacy management platforms such as OneTrust or ServiceNow preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Engage and partner with the business and functions to drive and embed a positive privacy culture.
  • Identify and oversee how personal data is processed and transferred in the region, ensuring privacy risk remains within acceptable limits while supporting business objectives.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Privacy Officer to develop, maintain, and evolve the global privacy program, including policy input and reporting of privacy risks.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and advice on data protection/privacy, AI, and cybersecurity laws applicable to TMICC in the region.
  • Design, develop, and deliver training materials and communications to increase awareness of privacy policies, data handling practices, and legal obligations.
  • Act as the regional subject matter expert for data and/or security incidents, supporting management, investigation, and breach reporting.
  • Advise on documentation requirements for compliance and accountability, including records of processing activities, registrations, transfer mechanisms, DPIAs, and consent records.
  • Ensure appropriate transparency and disclosure notices, data collection forms, and opt-out mechanisms meet local legal requirements.
  • Provide advice and support for data subject rights requests, privacy inquiries, complaints, and privacy/AI risk assessments.
  • Advise on appropriate contractual terms for data processing activities and support commercial negotiations.
  • Horizon scan for new laws or regulatory guidance and provide analysis and recommendations.
