The Global Real Estate and Facilities (GREF) team is seeking a motivated and high-performing Portfolio Manager to join a fast-paced, high-impact, and growing organization. GREF is responsible for real estate transaction expertise, business partnering, space and occupancy planning, capital investment program management, and facility maintenance and operations across multiple countries. They partner with suppliers to ensure quality, innovation, and scalability with Amazon's business, and utilize customer feedback for continuous improvement and exceeding employee expectations. This role specifically focuses on the Real Estate and Facilities for Amazon’s Northern Californian portfolio, reporting to the AMER- Area 4, Sr. Portfolio Manager. The Portfolio Manager will act as a true partner to various internal teams including Business Leaders, Finance, Design & Construction, Strategy & Occupancy Planning, Transaction Management, HR, IT, Corporate Security, Public Relations, and Procurement. Key attributes include demonstrating ownership, a bias for action, attention to detail, and the ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels. This role requires a two-way door mindset, acting simultaneously as an internal ambassador, educator, analyst, solutions architect, and implementer. Building strong relationships within the wider GREF team, including key vendors and internal business partners, is crucial. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced and complex environment is essential. A primary objective is to partner with Amazon’s teams across the geographic region, earning trust and developing sustainable workplace solutions. A passion for business partnering, combined with strong operational experience in Property and Facilities Management Operations and in-depth financial oversight knowledge, is key. The individual should also have experience developing, implementing, and managing scalable programs and possess excellent communication skills. This position demands a thorough understanding of each site and key customers within the portfolio, including their details, complexities, critical dates, and events. This knowledge is vital for a comprehensive understanding of leases, landlords, site strengths, issues, and compliance needs, which will inform critical decisions and recommendations from a portfolio management perspective. The Portfolio Manager will collaborate closely with and coordinate all colleagues and partners (e.g., Project Managers, IT, Security) to align on project delivery and ensure successful outcomes.
