About The Position

The Regional Operations Manager will be responsible for managing the sale of Ford & Lincoln used vehicle assets (Rental Repurchase, Off-Lease, Repo, Company Service and ARS) at Ford Sponsored Auctions in their region. This is primarily a remote-based role with a high amount of travel required — candidates should expect to spend 60-70% of their time traveling to auction sites within their assigned region. This role includes a structured onboarding period, with training provided directly by the retiring Regional Operations Manager, alongside other Regional Operations Managers, the General Office, and the US & Canada Auction Operations Manager. This is an onsite, non-Ford location role with a high amount of travel required.

Requirements

  • Bachelors or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in auction/remarketing, fleet management, and/or broader operations management (any combination qualifies)
  • Strong leadership skills with proven people/team management experience — this is a top priority for this role
  • Strong relationship management skills — ability to build and maintain trust with vendor staff, auction partners, and dealers
  • Strong organizational and decision-making skills
  • Ability to present business cases and strategy with data and sound rationale
  • Willingness to relocate for future advancement within the department and company (optional, based on candidate goals)

Responsibilities

  • Strategic planning and tactical execution of Ford Contracts and Ford to Auction Standards with Area Managers and Auction Partners
  • Lead and strengthen team management and cross-functional relationship-building — this is a key focus area for the role, given current priorities in the region
  • Manage a team of 5-7 Area Managers
  • Manage overall relationships between Ford Vehicle Remarketing, RAV team, DVO and Auction partners
  • Ensure achievement of key business objectives including maximizing net revenue, minimizing inventory carrying costs, profit opportunities, and waste elimination
  • Audit auction operations to ensure $4-10B in company assets are properly managed, with expenses and fees correctly allocated per Contracts and Ford to Auction Standards
  • Drive identification and action plans for underperforming auctions
  • Willingness to travel 60-70% to auction locations within assigned region
