About The Position

We’re looking for a high-energy, organized, and solutions-driven Operations Manager to support our growing hospitalist group across North Central Florida. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment, can juggle multiple priorities with ease, and takes ownership of keeping operations running smoothly. As an Operations Manager, you’ll play a critical role in driving efficiency, supporting providers, and ensuring seamless day-to-day operations across multiple hospital sites. You’ll partner closely with clinical and hospital leadership to identify opportunities for improvement, strengthen communication, and enhance overall performance. This position reports to the COO of Acute Services, with a dotted line to onsite physician leadership. This is a hybrid role, with some local travel required including visiting our UF Leesburg, UF The Villages, Encompass Health, Sumter facilities. Candidates MUST be local, with the ability to travel locally as needed. The pay range is dependent on experience and skillset, with a starting range of $75,000.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work across teams and leadership levels
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, sometimes high-pressure healthcare environment
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset
  • Tech-savvy with working knowledge of EMR systems and Microsoft Office
  • 2+ years of experience in a healthcare or hospital setting

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key liaison between hospital leadership and provider teams to ensure alignment and effective communication
  • Coordinate provider schedules and on-call coverage across multiple facilities
  • Monitor and support encounter and billing processes, ensuring accuracy and timely follow-up
  • Partner with medical directors to identify and implement practice improvement initiatives
  • Support provider credentialing and maintain accurate facility and medical staff documentation
  • Coordinate meetings, prepare materials, and track follow-up actions
  • Assist in resolving provider and staff concerns with professionalism and urgency
  • Support quality metrics tracking and performance improvement efforts
  • Contribute to recruitment, onboarding, and training of new providers
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners and vendors
