About The Position

Under the direction of the Administrative Director, Physician Network, the Regional Operations Manager is responsible for the coordination, planning and overall operations of the specific physician practices, except those areas directly involving medical judgement. Meets all standards of the Patient Satisfaction Initiative Statement in order to make JMG the hospital of choice for Patients and Employees. Develops and maintains effective organizational structure within practices, which will provide for optimal utilization of physicians and staff. Make recommendations as needed to physicians and office staff. Maintains compliance with JCAHO guidelines for assigned practices. Manages the financial areas of the practice: billing, collection, accounts payable and receivable. Develops, with the Administrative Director, appropriate reporting mechanisms, budgeting and forecasting. Works closely with the Network Billing Office to maximize financial benefit for the practices. Tracks referrals by practice reporting the same to the Administrative Director with comments and explanations. Provides necessary financial reporting mechanisms to physicians and the Administrative Director. Contribute to statistical and financial records in cooperation with the Network Information Manager to enhance accurate reporting. Manages internal records of staff and physicians to track vacation, staffing and CME. Approves requests for staffing, equipment and major supply needs of practices, after discussion and review with physician, office manager and Administrative Director to maintain efficient operations of practices. Develops long range plans or expansion with group physicians, after discussion and review with physician, office manager and Administrative Director. Communicates, and reviews, with physicians as appropriate, productivity reports and standards for network physicians. Maintains compliance with all operational procedures as required by Jefferson Medical Group in cooperation with Network physicians. Supervises and directs all subordinates in performance of assigned responsibilities. Makes recommendations on and implements staffing needs of Network offices to promote the effective delivery of patient care needs. Maintains current knowledge of wage and hour laws, fair employment practices and other Hospital personnel policies related to state and federal laws to enhance the Hospital’s compliance in all personnel-related actions. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business or equivalent preferred.
  • 2 years in a network environment managing multiple sites
  • Extensive project management knowledge
  • Knowledge of JCAHO Compliance regulations
  • Computer skills
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong ability to interact with multiple allied healthcare professionals
  • DL - Driver's License_PA - State of Pennsylvania or DL - Driver's License_NJ - State of New Jersey
