About The Position

The Regional Operations Manager - Soft Services is responsible for leading the delivery of soft services across a highly distributed Defense Sector portfolio. This role provides regional oversight for both large strategic facilities with on-site leadership and smaller or limited-coverage locations, ensuring consistent service quality, compliance, and client satisfaction during a period of significant account expansion. The role blends hands-on operational leadership with strategic program management, supporting transitions, stabilizing new locations, and preparing the portfolio for future service-line growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or 5 - 7 years of progressive experience managing multi-site facility or soft-services operations.
  • Prior experience supporting government, defense, aerospace, or similarly regulated environments preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead teams within matrixed organizations and across multiple geographies.
  • Experience managing budgets, labor models, and vendor performance.
  • Familiarity with environments requiring background checks, access controls, or security clearances (clearance not required).
  • Strong people-management and coaching capability.
  • High operational discipline and attention to detail.
  • Client-facing communication and relationship management.
  • Ability to balance strategic planning with tactical execution.
  • Calm, structured decision-making in high-visibility environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead regional service delivery across a geographically dispersed portfolio, ensuring consistent execution of soft services.
  • Oversee operations in regulated and security-sensitive environments, maintaining strict adherence to client, government, and internal compliance requirements.
  • Manage and support site managers and regional teams, reinforcing safety, quality, and performance expectations.
  • Lead startup, transition, and stabilization activities for new facilities while maintaining performance across existing locations.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and client representatives to implement standardized operating procedures, KPIs, escalation pathways, and communication protocols.
  • Drive labor planning, staffing optimization, and vendor coordination across varied facility types.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, cost control, and service quality.
  • Prepare the region for future soft-service expansion, including grounds, security coordination, logistics support, and minor facility services.
  • Ensures compliance with quality, policies and program requirements, along with completing all reporting on time.
  • Champions development in partnership within the region; conducts performance evaluations, along with succession planning, with focus on building multi-unit management skills; has full understanding of all roles in operation.
