About The Position

Avery Dennison is seeking a Regional Operations Leader to join the Taylor Adhesives team in Dalton, GA with leadership for additional manufacturing sites including (Fontana CA). In this role, the successful candidate(s) will develop, improve or maintain an effective system of metrics, scorecards, governance and reviews to assure strategies and projects are aligned with business needs in a leading company where individual and team success are recognized and rewarded. Ensure text is entirely gender-neutral as they direct manufacturing initiatives across the designated regions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
  • 8+ years solid business experience in a manufacturing environment with shown success in operations leadership, improvement processes, and a solid understanding of financial systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and handling individuals and teams within a fast paced and matrixed organization.
  • Experience working in a Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing environment with a solid understanding and experience with ISO Quality Systems.
  • Strong organizational skills in strategy, communication at all levels, execution, and a balance of strategic and tactical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

  • Attract, manage, develop and retain a staff of change agents to deliver results in a manner consistent with living the Avery Dennison leadership principles and drive an engaged learning organization.
  • Create a vision and operating strategy (OGSS – Objectives, Goals, Strategies and Measures) and ensure the effective execution to achieve or exceed quality, service, cost, safety, inventory and bottom-line results.
  • Foster a culture where safety is a core value in daily operation, strive towards an accident-free workplace, and support the processes and practices to build on the VPP certification.
  • Ensure accuracy and completion of capital planning and budgeting while driving lean management and process discipline throughout front-end and manufacturing areas by personally championing Enterprise Lean Sigma (ELS).
  • Facilitate robust voice of customer to continuously evaluate and improve internal business processes by leveraging a demonstrated ability to collaborate across boundaries to solve difficult problems.
