About The Position

PM Pediatric Care is seeking an inspiring and motivated Regional Operations Director (ROD) to lead a portfolio of 8-12 urgent care locations with approximately 100 team members, managed through 6-8 direct reports and overseeing a P&L of ~$10-30M. The ROD will be responsible for developing market growth strategy, driving business and clinical outcomes, and will serve as a key member of the leadership team, reporting to the Senior Vice President of Clinical Operations. This role requires regular travel between our Long Island and NYC sites (12 sites).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum 5+ years of healthcare management experience, including multi-site operations management.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate and develop employees of diverse professional backgrounds.
  • Prior P&L management experience, strong financial expertise and analytical skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and MS suite required.
  • Travel to our other urgent care offices and on-site office presence required.

Nice To Haves

  • preferred master’s degree or clinical equivalent
  • Quality/process improvement experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of marketing, communications, insurance contracting, and billing practices in healthcare.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the region’s profitability (P&L statements, approximately $10-30M in revenue depending on region), operations, labor management, contract management, and clinical outcomes within the assigned region and offices.
  • Review/analyze budget and implement cost-control measures to ensure fiscal responsibility and profitability.
  • Drive operational, financial, team and clinical performance of region through KPIs including market growth, clinical productivity, staffing, attrition, quality and safety.
  • Streamline processes, workflows, and procedures to maximize efficiency and productivity.
  • Recruit, train and develop regional leaders into a high functioning, dynamic care team.
  • Provide engaged, on-site presence to local leaders and holds them accountable for achievement of defined KPIs.
  • Create collaborative culture that solves complex problems facing the region.
  • Coordinate provider schedule and backup system to minimize clinical care disruptions.
  • Oversee vendor and inventory management.
  • Ensure sites are compliant with accrediting body standards and facilities mock inspections.
