About The Position

The Regional Operations Director (Clinical Services) RN provides leadership and operational oversight for multiple acute programs within designated hospital service areas, throughout Western Virginia through West Virginia, through Eastern Kentucky to Cincinnati and Lexington. This position ensures excellence in patient care, financial performance, regulatory compliance, and team engagement. Working in partnership with divisional and hospital leadership, the Regional Operations Director (Clinical Services) RN supports DaVita’s mission of delivering quality outcomes and strong hospital partnerships. This role is a unique hybrid, functioning in a dual capacity as both the operational leader (ROD) and the clinical leader (MCS) for the region. The Regional Operations Director (Clinical Services) is responsible for the overall operational, financial, and clinical management of the region. They will drive business outcomes and strategic growth while ensuring the highest standards of patient care, safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of employment is REQUIRED.
  • Current CPR certification required.
  • Intermediate computer skills and proficiency in DaVita clinical applications (CWOW, etc.).
  • Two years of Dialysis experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related area strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of healthcare management experience preferred; multi-facility dialysis management experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee nursing and technical services for patient treatment.
  • Conduct trend analysis of clinical outcomes and independently develop and implement plans of correction for any clinical quality issues.
  • Ensure adherence to all state and federal regulations governing patient care services (HIPAA, CMS, OSHA, etc.).
  • Manage regional P&L, budget forecasting, and inventory to optimize financial performance and strategic growth.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to facility administrators and clinical teams.
  • Direct all teammate activity including hiring, promoting, performance development reviews (PDRs), and disciplinary actions.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive work culture aligned with DaVita's Core Values.
  • Foster strong strategic relationships with nephrologists, medical directors, and hospital partners.
