We're seeking an experienced Regional Director of Operations to oversee multiple senior living communities in throughout Michigan, providing strategic direction, operational excellence, and leadership that empowers teams to deliver extraordinary resident experiences. This is more than an operations role - it's an opportunity to influence culture, develop leaders, drive performance, and improve the lives of residents, families, and employees every day.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, or related field.
  • Five or more years of multi-site operations leadership in senior living, healthcare, or long-term care.
  • Demonstrated success leading Executive Directors and multidisciplinary leadership teams.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, labor, occupancy, and operating performance.
  • Extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations affecting senior living communities.
  • Outstanding communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to travel throughout the assigned region.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and operational oversight for multiple Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care communities.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop Executive Directors and community leadership teams.
  • Drive occupancy growth through operational excellence, exceptional customer experience, and collaboration with sales teams.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain readiness for state surveys and inspections.
  • Improve financial performance by managing budgets, labor, revenue, and operating expenses.
  • Monitor quality indicators, resident satisfaction, clinical outcomes, and employee engagement.
  • Create action plans to improve underperforming communities and sustain high-performing operations.
  • Partner with Human Resources on leadership recruitment, succession planning, employee relations, and retention initiatives.
  • Lead change initiatives while fostering a positive, resident-centered culture.
  • Travel regularly throughout the assigned region to provide onsite leadership and support.
