Regional Nurse RN/LPN (Part Time)
About The Position
The Regional Nurse (RN or LPN) provides person-centered nursing care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), promoting health and safety while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. The role is part-time and based in Valparaiso. It includes regional travel and rotating on-call telephone triage support as assigned. The work environment is an office setting with minimal background noise, standard office lighting, and occasional temperature fluctuations. Normal business hours apply, with flexibility to work overtime or non-standard hours as required by special projects.
Requirements
- Current Indiana RN or LPN license in good standing.
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing assessments and ongoing health monitoring.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Coordinate care with physicians, pharmacies, families, and other providers.
- Train and support direct care staff on health-related needs.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and medication records.
- Respond to medical concerns and emergencies as needed.
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and company policies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and interdisciplinary team meetings.
- Provide on-call telephone triage support on a rotating basis, as assigned.
