About The Position

At JPW Industries, we are redefining excellence in industrial tools and machinery. With industry shaping brands like Jet, Powermatic, Wilton, Edwards, Baileigh and Axiom, we lead the way in delivering high quality solutions to professionals worldwide. Join us and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our products and industry. As our Regional Metal Specialist, you will be a field-based sales resource responsible for managing and growing JPW's metalworking business through our Field Channel Distributors across six strategic markets: Manufacturing, Maintenance/MRO, Metal Fabrication, Commercial Construction, Government, and Higher Education. This role is built on execution at the local level, working hand-in-hand with distribution partners while maintaining a high-intensity focus on end-user engagement, pipeline development, and revenue growth across industrial accounts in your territory. This is a hunter role. You will own your distributor relationships, drive end-user pull-through and actively convert opportunities into revenue. Success in this role means building a healthy pipeline, deepening distributor partnerships, and growing JPW's metalworking footprint in the field account by account.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • 5+ years in field sales, channel sales, or technical sales within industrial or metalworking markets.
  • Proven experience managing distributor relationships and driving pull-through business at the end-user level.
  • Demonstrated track record of proactive prospecting, pipeline growth, and new account development — not just managing existing business.
  • Strong knowledge of metalworking equipment and applications; ability to confidently demonstrate and apply products in a customer environment.
  • Proven success in solution selling, with a focus on productivity, cost savings, and safety outcomes.
  • Salesforce or equivalent CRM with strong pipeline reporting discipline.
  • Willingness to travel overnight up to 50% within assigned territory.
  • Highly self-directed, strong presentation and communication skills, tenacious and results-driven, adaptable to shifting priorities, and skilled at building relationships at all levels of an organization.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop relationships with Field Channel Distributors in your assigned territory.
  • Train and enable distributor sales teams on JPW's metalworking product portfolio, applications, and value propositions.
  • Partner with distributors to develop joint business plans, set growth targets, and execute go-to-market strategies.
  • Maintain a distributor-agnostic approach when engaging end users — always leading with the best solution for the customer.
  • Proactively identify, target, and call on industrial end-user accounts to create demand and generate pull-through business.
  • Conduct hands-on product demonstrations and application assessments to connect technical features with real-world customer outcomes.
  • Build and maintain direct relationships with key end users, engineers, and plant-level decision-makers.
  • Execute targeted field campaigns in partnership with Marketing to drive awareness, trial, and conversion.
  • Build and actively manage a robust opportunity pipeline across your territory's industrial accounts.
  • Track all leads, visits, demos, and pipeline activity in Salesforce (or equivalent CRM) with consistent reporting discipline.
  • Drive opportunities from initial identification through close, coordinating with distributors at each stage.
  • Consistently meet or exceed territory goals for opportunity creation, conversion, and revenue growth.
  • Serve as the go-to technical resource for metalworking applications — mills, lathes, saws, fabrication machinery, and related equipment.
  • Translate product features into measurable end-user benefits: productivity gains, cost savings, safety improvements, and quality outcomes.
  • Provide on-site application support and troubleshooting to strengthen customer confidence and loyalty.
  • Deliver ongoing feedback on competitive activity, unmet customer needs, and product opportunities in the field.
  • Collaborate with internal teams — Marketing, Product Management, and National Accounts — to align field execution with broader strategy.
  • Represent JPW at trade shows, distributor events, and regional industry functions.
