About The Position

Summit Healthcare is hiring on behalf of a company in the hospital and health care industry. The Regional MDS supports assessment accuracy, reimbursement integrity, and clinical quality across a six-facility portfolio. The role works with facility leaders and MDS teams to strengthen processes, promote consistency, and support effective MDS operations in a skilled nursing environment.

Requirements

• Active registered nurse license.
• At least 2 years of experience in skilled nursing, with strong expertise in MDS assessments, RAI processes, and CMS regulations.
• Experience supporting MDS operations across multiple skilled nursing facilities.
• Knowledge of Medicare reimbursement and clinical documentation standards.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Oversee MDS assessments and care planning across six healthcare facilities.
• Ensure accurate, timely submissions and compliance with CMS requirements.
• Audit clinical documentation and resolve assessment or reimbursement discrepancies.
• Train facility MDS coordinators on regulations, workflows, and best practices.
• Collaborate with nursing leadership to improve quality measures and outcomes.
