About The Position

Avalon Health Care Management, Inc. is hiring a Regional Clinical Reimbursement Specialist (RN) to support clinical and financial success across skilled nursing facilities in Washington and Oregon. The specialist works closely with facility leadership teams to promote quality outcomes, regulatory compliance, reimbursement accuracy, and operational excellence. This role is suited to an experienced MDS and reimbursement professional who enjoys mentoring teams, improving systems, and contributing across an organization. The position involves regular regional travel and provides leadership and support to facility teams on MDS, RAI, Medicare, and Medicaid reimbursement processes. The specialist monitors facility systems, analyzes clinical and financial outcomes, supports quality and reimbursement initiatives, mentors interdisciplinary teams, and leads program development and process improvement. Salary is $120,000–$140,000 per year, based on experience, qualifications, and skills.

Requirements

Current RN license.
Long-term care experience.
MDS, RAI, and clinical reimbursement experience.
Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
Ability to work independently and support multiple facilities.
Willingness and ability to travel regularly throughout Washington and Oregon.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership and support to facility teams on MDS, RAI, Medicare, and Medicaid reimbursement processes.
Monitor facility systems to promote compliance, accuracy, and best practices.
Analyze clinical and financial outcomes to identify improvement opportunities.
Support Quality Measures, Five-Star initiatives, and reimbursement optimization efforts.
Educate and mentor interdisciplinary teams across the region.
Lead program development and process improvement initiatives.
