Regional Marketplace Manager-Western Region

ABC Legal Services•Colorado, WA
•Remote

About The Position

ABC Legal Services is hiring a Regional Marketplace Manager to own marketplace performance across the Western region, including California, Arizona, Washington, Colorado, Utah, Nevada, and Oregon. The role is remote, but the employee must live in one of those states, and includes approximately 20% travel. The manager balances supply and demand, identifies and diagnoses market issues, builds relationships with high-volume process servers, and is accountable for regional KPIs. This is a hands-on builder role that combines data collection and analysis with on-the-ground judgment, strategy, and execution. The manager works with centralized Process Server Network teams, project managers, Compliance, and Support & Experience teams to implement market changes, respond to incidents, run pilots, and communicate findings. They help refine incentive programs, dispatch rules, and pay mechanics, and share learnings that can be applied across the network. The role also directly manages W2 employees, including approving time cards and conducting performance reviews. Compensation is $70,000–$85,000, depending on experience. The schedule is full-time, Monday through Friday.

Requirements

  • Experience owning a local market, territory, or region in a marketplace, gig, or field operations environment, including experience in an underperforming market.
  • Ability to balance supply and demand using data collected firsthand together with on-the-ground observations and judgment.
  • Experience managing W2 employees, including approving time cards and completing performance reviews.
  • Experience working with project managers to scope and execute in-market initiatives.
  • At least one direct report whose coaching and performance the candidate can discuss specifically.
  • Willingness to work on the ground in the market; this is not a remote strategy-only role.
  • Ability to translate market observations into crisp, actionable feedback for strategy teams.
  • Ability to clearly communicate market health to leadership, including through written updates.
  • Must reside in California, Arizona, Washington, Colorado, Utah, Nevada, or Oregon.
  • Ability to work full-time, Monday through Friday, and travel approximately 20%.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience running structured pilots or tests with clear hypotheses and sharing learnings that scaled.
  • SQL or dashboard fluency, including Metabase, Looker, or Claude Code.
  • Experience working in Jira or a similar tracker to scope and follow pilots through completion, and in a platform such as Intercom for network-facing communication.
  • Experience building in ambiguous environments where no playbook existed.
  • Experience managing someone in a contract or hourly role and understanding how coaching differs.

Responsibilities

  • Balance supply and demand across Western markets by identifying coverage gaps, recruiting process servers, managing dispatch strategies, and increasing server capacity.
  • Spot areas where market performance is slipping and diagnose root causes before they appear on scorecards.
  • Build and maintain relationships with the region’s highest-volume servers as ABC Legal’s in-market representative.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and recommend actionable next steps when problems arise.
  • Lead regional incident response, translating on-the-ground conditions into real-time guidance for the network and leadership.
  • Execute marketplace pilots by running in-market tests, tracking results, reporting findings, and collaborating with project managers to scope and track the work.
  • Manage regional incentive spending within the allocated budget in partnership with the Sr. Director, and flag spending concerns early.
  • Monitor regional SLO attainment by tier, coverage gap closure, and market health.
  • Directly manage W2 employees, including approving time cards and completing performance reviews.
  • Provide structured market learnings to help refine and scale incentive programs, dispatch rules, and pay mechanics across other markets.
  • Communicate market health through clear, actionable written updates and feedback to strategy teams.
