About The Position

Banner Property Management, LLC is seeking an experienced Regional Manager based in Illinois to oversee operations, financial performance, team development, resident retention, and exceptional customer service across a diverse multi-state portfolio. This role requires extensive travel and a hands-on leadership approach to support and elevate property performance across all locations. The position is based out of Naperville, Illinois, when not traveling to properties, and reports directly to the Vice President of Operations.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of multifamily property management experience.
  • 2+ years of Regional Manager (or equivalent leadership) experience.
  • Experience managing 5+ properties and teams simultaneously.
  • Strong financial and operational acumen.
  • Proven leadership and team-building abilities.
  • Ability to adapt quickly, embrace change, and make confident decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Resourceful, self-motivated, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Extensive travel via driving and flying is required, including frequent back-to-back weekly travel.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable personal transportation for local travel.
  • Residency: Candidate must reside within 60 miles or approximately one hour of a major airport.
  • Solid working knowledge of property management software required.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Final candidates will be required to pass a background check and provide professional references.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous lease-up experience is preferred.
  • Experience with Yardi, Yardi CRM, and a revenue management platform is a plus.
  • CAM or CPM certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support on-site teams across multiple properties and states.
  • Drive operational excellence, financial performance, and resident satisfaction.
  • Analyze property performance and implement strategic improvements quickly and effectively.
  • Develop, mentor, and empower teams to solve challenges independently.
  • Oversee key operational areas including: Marketing and leasing, Budgeting and cash flow management, Accounting and financial reporting, Building maintenance and capital improvements, Unit turnover and curb appeal, Resident retention and customer service, Vendor and contract management.
  • Maintain a high standard of professionalism when handling resident and employee concerns.
