As a Regional Manager, you will be responsible for managing an assigned portfolio of residential communities. Your role will involve making decisions to maximize income and minimize expenses, thereby achieving the overall objectives of the communities in your region. You will oversee financial budgeting and reporting, as well as marketing and leasing efforts for all apartment communities within your portfolio. The Regional Manager reports to a Regional Vice President or a Vice President. A key responsibility is to hire, train, mentor, and lead on-site professionals. This includes planning, assigning, and directing work, evaluating performance, and resolving conflicts and issues. The primary focus of the Regional Manager includes overseeing the operations of the properties in their portfolio to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures, professionally representing the Company with clients, employees, residents, and vendors, assisting with budget preparation, maintaining knowledge of monthly budget variance, and providing written evaluations of income and expense line items that are significantly over budget. You will also provide suggestions for capital improvements, approve all invoices for payment, and ensure timely submission to the accounting department. Additionally, you will oversee and manage the on-site teams within your portfolio and develop high-quality on-site teams through effective recruitment, training, motivation, and coaching strategies.
