About The Position

The Regional Manager leads fundraising strategy, team performance, donor and community engagement, and regional operations within their assigned geographic area. The Regional Manager is responsible for developing and executing the regional development plan, achieving revenue goals, managing and developing regional staff, overseeing events and campaigns, and strengthening key donor, masjid, and community relationships. The role also maintains an assigned portfolio of donors and key relationships, and works closely with national and cross-functional teams to ensure regional activities align with IDEA’s organizational priorities. The candidate must show a commitment to Islamic Development & Empowerment in America (IDEA)'s faith-inspired values, principles, as well as the vision and mission of the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Experience working in fundraising, grassroots, community engagement, nonprofit management, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with the local Muslim community and community leaders.
  • Prior management experience, including 1-2 years direct supervisory experience.
  • Must possess the ability to self-manage multiple priorities, using strong time-management skills that are complex in nature.
  • Strong collaborative skills and ability to contribute effectively to the team environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with a variety of community members and others from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong organizational and project-management skills that exhibit proven ability to follow through and follow up appropriately on assignments, and that exhibit strong time management skills.
  • Must possess exceptional public speaking skills and a high level of comfortability in speaking before crowds.
  • Technical proficiency in Google Workspace.
  • Ability to exhibit cultural competence and sensitivity to work with a wide array of ethnicities.
  • Ability to travel independently within the assigned region and occasionally nationally as required.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and extended hours during events and campaigns.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.

  • Familiarity with Salesforce, ClickUp, or similar platforms is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and manages the annual regional development plan and regional calendar of events, campaigns, fundraising activities, and outreach in alignment with national strategy and regional priorities.
  • Supervises regional fund development personnel, including performance management and tracking, recruitment and training, and employee time records and time-off requests.
  • Monitors regional revenue and financial performance.
  • Represents IDEA in the community to foster and develop relationships with donors, masajid, community partners, and other key regional organizations and individuals.
  • Coordinates regional activity planning and implementation with internal teams, other departments, and management.
  • Oversees the planning, budgeting, implementation, financial performance, sponsorship efforts, and post-event follow-up of fundraising activities and events, in coordination with other appropriate internal personnel.
  • Represents IDEA at key community, donor, fundraising, and partner engagements.
  • Communicates with donors, prospective donors, and other external parties regarding inquiries about IDEA’s work, volunteering with the organization, and other relevant information.
  • Leads regular regional staff meetings and maintains clear communication, coordination, and accountability across the regional team.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
