About The Position

The Regional Manager Provider Recruitment is responsible for the day-to-day operational leadership and management of the Provider Recruitment function. This role provides oversight of recruitment activities, workflows, team performance, candidate engagement, and provider onboarding processes to ensure an efficient, consistent, and high-quality experience for candidates, providers, and internal stakeholders. Working in partnership with the Regional Director Talent Acquisition, Physician Recruitment and Compensation, this position translates strategic direction into effective operational execution. The Regional Manager is accountable for ensuring recruitment processes are well-coordinated, responsive, and aligned with organizational priorities, while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, standardization, and the overall provider recruitment experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in business administration, human resources or related field AND a minimum of five (5) years of recruitment experience and a minimum of four (4) years of previous physician and advance practice provider recruitment experience in a similar size organization
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing
  • Self-motivated, ability to work independently with a minimum of supervision, set priorities and lead a team to accomplish results
  • Ability to multi-task, plan and prioritize the completion of a large volume of work as a leader in accordance with changing deadlines
  • Willingness to telephone and meet individuals in the early morning, evenings, and weekends as needed to enhance recruitment; willingness to travel as required to attend recruiting job fairs
  • Must maintain a high degree of confidentiality
  • Working knowledge of computers and software including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Physician Recruiter, preferred
  • Prior experience using ACT or other recruitment contact management software, preferred
  • Masters degree in business administration, human resources or a related field, preferred
  • Knowledge of the medical community and familiarity with marketing/public relations techniques

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day leadership and oversight of the Provider Recruitment team and recruitment operations.
  • Manage recruitment workflows and ensure timely progression of provider candidates through each stage of the recruitment process.
  • Establish clear priorities, expectations, and accountability for team members.
  • Monitor workload, assignments, and resources to ensure recruitment needs are appropriately supported.
  • Identify operational barriers and implement solutions to improve workflow, responsiveness, and service delivery.
  • Oversee the provider recruitment process from approved position through recruitment, selection, offer, and onboarding.
  • Partner with physician and advanced practice provider leaders, department leaders, and other stakeholders to understand recruitment needs and priorities.
  • Ensure recruitment strategies and activities are executed consistently and in alignment with approved organizational direction.
  • Monitor candidate pipelines and recruitment activity, proactively addressing barriers that may impact successful recruitment.
  • Support complex or high-priority searches as needed.
  • Ensure candidates receive timely communication and a professional, engaging recruitment experience.
  • Lead, coach, and develop Provider Recruitment team members to achieve individual and departmental goals.
  • Provide ongoing feedback, performance coaching, and support for professional development.
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and service-focused team environment.
  • Ensure team members understand organizational expectations, recruitment processes, and performance standards.
  • Recognize opportunities to leverage the team's knowledge and experience to improve recruitment practices
  • Monitor recruitment activity, performance metrics, candidate pipelines, time-to-fill, and other key measures.
  • Prepare and communicate routine recruitment reports and updates to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Use recruitment data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas requiring intervention.
  • Maintain accurate recruitment information and ensure appropriate documentation within applicable recruitment systems and databases.
  • Promote data integrity and consistency across provider recruitment processes.
  • Evaluate existing recruitment processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, and the candidate experience.
  • Develop and implement standardized workflows, procedures, and best practices.
  • Partner with the Regional Director and other leaders on regionalization and standardization initiatives.
  • Support the implementation of new systems, tools, and processes affecting provider recruitment.
  • Ensure process changes are effectively communicated and incorporated into daily operations.
  • Develop strong working relationships with physician leaders, advanced practice provider leaders, operational leaders, HR, Compensation, Credentialing, Medical Staff Services, Finance, Legal, and other internal partners.
  • Serve as an operational resource and point of contact for provider recruitment-related questions and issues.
  • Facilitate effective communication among recruiters, hiring leaders, candidates, and onboarding partners.
  • Represent Provider Recruitment professionally and collaboratively across the organization.
  • Partner with stakeholders to resolve recruitment challenges and support successful provider placement.
  • Monitor departmental resources and recruitment-related expenditures within assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Support budget planning and resource management in partnership with the Director.
  • Identify opportunities to maximize recruitment resources and improve operational efficiency.
  • Ensure provider recruitment activities are conducted in accordance with applicable organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and established recruitment practices.
  • Promote consistency, confidentiality, professionalism, and integrity throughout the recruitment process.
  • Ensure appropriate documentation and coordination throughout the recruitment and onboarding process.
  • Support organizational and departmental initiatives as assigned.
  • Participate in projects and initiatives designed to enhance provider recruitment, provider experience, and organizational performance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
