About The Position

The Regional Manager reports directly to the Division Vice President and indirectly to Accounting, District Manager and Executive Leadership Team. The position will manage all accounts and managers within the assigned Region while partnering with all departments as required. This position, at times, will also perform or assist with cleaning duties as necessary.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Janitorial industry
  • Scheduling, HR standards, safety requirements, payroll, customer service, all housekeeping services and what is needed to perform them.
  • Labor and supply budgeting.
  • P&L statements
  • Be organized, flexible, ability to multi-task and shift smoothly between numerous projects based on priority.
  • Communicate effectively with a diverse workforce and customer base.
  • Speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Maintain confidentiality and contact appropriate departments when assistance is needed, i.e. Safety, HR, etc.
  • Problem solves and develops conceptual alternatives.
  • Initiate and follow through with conflict resolution.
  • Work hours that vary, sometimes across multiple shifts, as well as 40+ hours per week.
  • Manage a staff of # Team Members.
  • Train Team Members, when necessary.
  • Be coached; learn on a regular basis as well as open to change.
  • Actively promote and personally observe safety.
  • Travel.
  • 2+ years' experience using Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook on a daily basis.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple sites and visit regularly.
  • Establish and implement operations standards.
  • Exceed account budget sales, increase existing customer revenue growth, identify and sell additional services.
  • Develop new revenue streams and sales opportunities.
  • Work closely with Sales Team, participate in walk thru's and presentations.
  • Manage and decrease direct labor costs annually.
  • Manage and decrease direct cost at all accounts.
  • Variance reporting.
  • Lead Monthly Regional Board meetings utilizing the 4M Corporate Vision as a guide.
  • Execute the 4M playbook, create and customize priority checklist for all accounts, report to customer, perform MAVRIC inspections, provide proactive customer updates, perform Cororate Safety Audits and Customer Partnering Reviews.
  • Personally nurture Customer Intimacy to assure 100% account and customer retention.
  • Continually review and introduce new and innovative solutions for the business.
  • Assure hiring process is followed at all times and new hire paperwork and orientation/training is completed.
  • Communicate and work closely with HR regarding recruitment and utilize for all HR related support.
  • Communicate proactively with upper management on important issues.
  • Attend management and customer meetings.
  • Maintain the responsibility for hiring, firing and transferring of all Team Members.
  • Manage job starts for Region.
  • Assist Safety Department by promoting and ensuring that all safety programs are proactively implemented; i.e. safety shares, Safety Bingo, Tool Box talks, Safety newsletter, TRR, ICPMH, audits, etc).
  • Assure zero EEOC activiity and less then 100% turn over annually.
  • -Communicate, positively lead, promote self improvement and identify Team Members who can be developed.
  • -Ensure all Team Members are trained and understand how they fit in the company.
