About The Position

HHS IS Hiring! We are currently seeking individuals to join the Janitorial Services in Clemson, SC. This will be a temp role with the opportunity to gain full-time/part-time employment. The University Janitorial group is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment across campus facilities, including academic buildings, offices, restrooms, laboratories, and common areas. This position plays a vital role in ensuring a welcoming and well-maintained campus for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, standing, and walking for extended periods.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with students, faculty, and staff.
Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
Applicants must pass a background check, drug screen, and provide proof of employment eligibility in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

Previous custodial or janitorial experience is a plus, especially in an educational or institutional setting.
Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and safety procedures is a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces.
Clean and disinfect restrooms, replenish supplies.
Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables in accordance with university policies.
Report any necessary repairs or safety hazards, such as leaks, broken fixtures, or damaged flooring to your supervisor.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including the proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals.
Respond to urgent cleaning needs or spills in a timely manner.
Support sustainability efforts by following recycling and waste management procedures.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support campus operations.
