About The Position

The customer success team at Planet is seeking an experienced Regional Manager, Customer Success, Defence and Intelligence, to lead a growing team of Customer Success Managers (CSMs) in the Asia Region. Your mission will be to develop the existing team and hire world class talent in this fast growing region. The Regional Manager will also serve as the senior customer success contact in the region, acting as the executive sponsor for customers and working with other cross functional leads to ensure we’re doing everything we can to drive value and satisfaction with our customers. This position co-owns the renewal and expansions number for the region, so working with the CSM’s and Sales to meet or exceed the goal is critical.

Requirements

  • 10-15 years of customer facing experience (preferably in Customer Success or equivalent ie account management, consulting) including strong examples of customer/client relationship building and collaborative problem solving
  • Firm grounding in defence industries which could include sales, business development, programme and project management
  • Experience of intelligence collection ideally space based or geospatial ISR
  • Experience of intelligence analysis and dissemination
  • Direct management experience
  • Exceptional customer communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Experience driving value, expansion, and renewals with customers
  • Works well across distributed and cross-functional teams; strong ability to lead and influence others
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and an Asian language

  • Strong background in geopolitical understanding
  • A proven transformational leader
  • Experience of intelligence collection and analysis, including Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR), Collection Planning and Collection Management
  • Likely a NATO Rank OF2 or senior
  • GIS or remote sensing background
  • Has operated at the equivalent of NATO Rank OF2 or ideally more senior
  • Strong examples of customer/client relationship building and collaborative problem
