About The Position

The Regional Maintenance Technician (Operations) is a hands-on role responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing crematory equipment and facility systems across multiple locations. This is a dynamic, travel-heavy role where the technician's expertise ensures operational excellence, safety, and reliability. The incumbent must be located in Portland, Seattle, Chicago, Kansas City, or Sacramento.

Requirements

High School Diploma, G.E.D., or trade/technical certification
Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience (HVAC, controls, PLCs, refractory, or similar)
Hands on boiler experience
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel up to 80%
Working knowledge of general building maintenance and repairs
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
Proficiency with hand tools and power tools
Highly organized with excellent time management skills
Ability to work independently and within a team
Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships
Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies
High level of integrity and strong work ethic

Nice To Haves

Experience reading electrical schematics and using diagnostic tools

Responsibilities

Inspect, test, and troubleshoot crematory machinery and building systems
Diagnose issues and perform preventative maintenance and repairs
Repair or replace worn components before breakdowns occur
Use diagnostic tools, power tools, and hand tools to complete repairs
Interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and blueprints to plan work
Maintain accurate service reports and documentation
Order parts and supplies as needed
Provide recommendations to improve equipment performance and reliability
Train on-site staff on basic maintenance and efficient machine operation
Support general facility maintenance including electrical, HVAC, and basic carpentry
