Regional Maintenance Electrician
About The Position
The NCDAC / Support Services / Division of Engineering, Construction, and Maintenance (DECM) is recruiting for an energized and collaborative Electrician II (Regional Maintenance Electrician), to be a part of the Mountain Regional Maintenance Team. This position reports to the Buncombe Satellite Yard in Black Mountain, NC and will be tasked with completing electrical preventative maintenance and like-in-kind Force Account electrical system replacements. A successful candidate for this Electrician II (Regional Maintenance Electrician) position, shall have journeyman level experience in the construction, installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures; be able to work independently to complete work assignments received by a supervisor; read and interpret blueprints; and perform other assigned duties.
Requirements
- Journeyman level experience in the construction, installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures
- Ability to work independently to complete work assignments
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two years of experience in the construction or repair of secondary electrical systems
- OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
Nice To Haves
- Demonstrated experience in the installation of primary and secondary electrical conduit and circuitry for electrical distribution systems
- Demonstrated experience with standard testing equipment to diagnose electrical components
- Knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC) standards
- Demonstrated experience reading and interpreting construction plans and specifications
- NCBEEC Electrical License
