About The Position

Under the guidance of the VPO and support from Director of Sales & Marketing (DSM) and Director of Consumer Lending (DCL) the RLM provides regional leadership that oversees, plans, and directs operations of the region, which includes but is not limited to sales and marketing, new business development, team engagement and development, credit quality management, and customer service. The RLM will accomplish this by coaching AOs in relationship development strategies, prospecting and consultative selling, while also raising the quality of borrower financial information, narratives, and proactive credit risk identification. The RLM through direction of the VPO, DSM, and DCL will execute the Associations go to market strategy by actively participating, monitoring, and coaching to the strategic objectives of the Association and key performance indicators (KPI) established. The RLM will provide leadership and support alongside their peer managers to meet the Association objectives set forth by the CEO. The RLM will comply with all AgCredit, ACA policies and procedures while maintaining regular and punctual attendance as expected of this position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with progressive experience in agricultural lending.
  • 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience in sales, credit, lending, or financial services.
  • Strong knowledge of agricultural and commercial lending, credit analysis, financial statement review, and relationship-based sales strategies.
  • Proven ability to coach, develop, and motivate teams while addressing performance and skill gaps.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and financial analysis/reporting systems.
  • Strong business judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel throughout the region, including occasional overnight travel.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of the Farm Credit System and agricultural production preferred.

Responsibilities

  • In partnership with the VPO, DSM, and DCL, lead regional sales activity through coaching on prospecting, pipeline management, calling strategies, and relationship expansion.
  • Drive adoption of consultative selling practices that deliver customer-focused financial solutions aligned with borrower needs.
  • Promote and participate in agribusiness and community events to strengthen brand awareness, referral networks, and business development.
  • Maintain key external relationships with equipment dealers, realtors/auctioneers, Ag Direct, Farm Credit Leasing, crop insurance providers, YBS initiatives, and other referral partners.
  • Partner with the DCL and Mortgage Loan Originators (MLOs) to support the go-to-market strategy for consumer and home loan products.
  • Ensure adherence to customer relationship reporting standards and loan application processes within loan origination and CRM systems.
  • Coach and develop AOs through joint farm visits, deal reviews, and ongoing skill-building activities.
  • Promote exceptional customer service focused on borrower needs, expectations, and long-term relationship growth.
  • Ensure timely completion of required reports, pipeline management activities, and sales tracking.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between AOs and the Credit Department to improve the quality, clarity, and timeliness of loan packages.
  • Coach AOs on developing complete financial packages, including balance sheets, narratives, and supporting documentation.
  • Support early identification of credit deterioration and loan servicing opportunities through proactive review and engagement.
  • Partner with Credit Managers and the Loan Specialist Manager to improve application quality, routing, and approval timelines.
  • Support the servicing of distressed credit relationships by facilitating communication and execution of loan servicing plans.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop direct reports, including performance management, training, employee engagement, and professional development.
  • Foster teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement while addressing skill gaps and process challenges across lending support roles.

  • Complete required training and development programs.
  • Assist with facility maintenance and appearance in coordination with the Facilities Coordinator.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
